A Silver and a Bronze Award For our Ciders!
We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded two prestigious medals at the International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC).
Award-Winners
Our Branchage Prestige Sparkling Dry Méthode Traditionnelle Fine Cider received a silver medal, while our Jersey Branchage Cider earned a bronze medal. These accolades come just one week after our Bailiwick red wine was awarded a bronze medal, underscoring our innovative approach to crafting outstanding beverages.
Celebrating Local Heritage and Innovation
Our award-winning ciders are crafted from a blend of traditional cider apples, including rare heritage Jersey varieties grown right here at the Estate. These ciders capture the essence of the island’s orchards, showcasing the rich diversity of local produce.
Leading the Way in Wine and Cider Making
The recent successes of La Mare Wine Estate can be attributed to the dedication and expertise of our team, led by Head Winemaker Jordi Sanvicens Moreno and Vineyard Manager Andrew Smith.
Mr. Sanvicens Moreno described the ciders as “a genuine tribute to our terroir and the meticulous craftsmanship of La Mare Wine Estate.”
Mr. Smith emphasized our holistic approach, stating, “Every step, from planting to bottling, takes place right here. This ensures meticulous control over the quality of our products at every stage of the process.”
Branchage Prestige: A New Benchmark
The Branchage Prestige Sparkling Dry Méthode Traditionnelle Fine Cider is a new addition to our range this year. Fermented with Champagne yeast and aged for eight months before bottling, this cider undergoes a year-long maturation in the bottle, allowing its flavors to develop to perfection.

Tim Crowley, our Managing Director, expressed his immense pride in Jordi, Andrew, and the entire team for their outstanding achievements. He highlighted the significance of the IWSC recognition, noting that it significantly elevates La Mare Wine Estate’s profile as a reputable artisan producer on the global stage.
